It may have been chilly, but the weather couldn’t stop the Midwest Family Care team from hosting the annual Employee Appreciation Day. This year’s event was held at the Henry Vilas Zoo, and featured burgers, brat and other food and snacks, free carousel rides, games, and gifts.

Employees each received a Midwest Family Care travel mug filled with gifts. Five lucky employees won the “Golden Ticket,” which earned them an additional prizea backpack filled with more gifts!

It’s important to our corporate culture to recognize and to acknowledge the hard work of our caregiver staff. It’s a deeply personal and often stressful career, and our caregivers do it successfully every day.

MidwestFamilyCareEADayMainSignOur mission is “Care Through Community,” which means we want to remain active in Madison, Dane County, and Jefferson Counties. But it also reflects our goal to emphasize general wellness among our employees.

In order to care for others, we must care for ourselves also.

Similarly, we position Midwest Family Care as offering a “village of services” in home care, care management, youth support, and assisted living. This notion extends inward also. Our village also includes our team.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize the event and thank you to all of the employees who showed up! More importantly, thank you to all of our caregivers for helping us make a difference in the lives of our clients.
